"Historie" is a German-language yearbook that has been published by the Center for Historical Research Berlin of the Polish Academy of Sciences (CBH) since 2007. Each issue is dedicated to a different topic and contains articles and essays by important scholars of German-Polish relations. The main editor of the yearbook "History" is Prof. Igor Kąkolewski, each issue is supervised by one of the research assistants from the cetner.
In this volume, CBH has primarily compiled essays that focus on various aspects of armed conflicts and how to overcome them. Among them are essayistic contributions that deal with wars as a painful but universal human experience since the beginning of human history, as well as monographic essays that address questions of the asymmetry of war experiences in the collective memory of neighboring peoples and post-war reconciliation processes in the area of educational media.
