This dual narrative history textbook written by Sami Adwan, Dan Bar-On and Eyal Naveh sets Palestinian and Israeli narratives of historical events literally side by side as parallel perspectives. As opposed to creating a shared or common narrative of both communities, its approach seeks to allow each community’s historical perspective to stand on its own.

It was developed through a series of workshops with Palestinian and Jewish-Israeli history teachers first as booklets and later as a joint textbook of two narratives. It covers the historical developments of the Balfour declaration, the 1948 war, and the First Intifada.
