MTÜ Eesti Haridusfoorum
The Estonian Education Forum (EHF) was set up in 1995 and it turned into an official NGO on 17 June 2000. The Forum represents main educational interest groups: teachers, university scholars, school heads, students, parents, ministerial officers etc. There are both individual and institutional members.
The main idea behind the activities of the Estonian Education Forum (EHF) has been to analyse key issues in education, to bring together representatives of education policy interest groups, to promote the principles of participatory democracy, partnership and social agreements in Estonian education policy. The Forum discusses main actual educational problems like manipulations with curricula, educational strategy, integration of Russian-speaking students with Estonian ones, teaching all school subjects to Russian students in Estonian language, and it designs proposals for approaching these problems. It disseminates its proposals and materials to the Ministry of Education and educational interest groups.
