Polsko-Gruzińska Komisja Historyków

The Polish-Georgian Commission of Historians was established in 2017 under the auspices of the presidents of the two countries to conduct joint research on mutual relations between 1917 and 1921. The Commission is composed of researchers from various academic centers in Poland and Georgia. Its chairman is Dr. David Kolbaia (Eastern European Studies at Warsaw University). From the very beginning, the Institute of National Remembrance has supported the work of the Commission in various forms, thus strengthening and expanding cooperation between Polish and Georgian researchers. The results of the work carried out within the Commission are published in English in periodically published volumes of collective works. Since the Commission's inception, five book publications have been published and two exhibitions have been prepared. Members of the Commission also participated in the work on the exhibition Trails of Hope, which was presented on October 3, 2022 at the I. Javakhishvili State University in Tbilisi.
